Step into the world of Les Creations de Anne Marie—a place where inspiration meets innovation, and every stitch tells a story. Our journey began like the best of friendships: with a chance encounter and a shared spark of creativity. In May 2024, amidst vibrant fabrics and lively conversation at a local textile shop, Anne Marie, a passionate creator of sewing marvels, crossed paths with designer David A. Hubbell. That serendipitous meeting planted the seeds of a partnership where imagination and craftsmanship intertwine.

From that moment, Anne Marie and David’s collaboration blossomed into a dynamic studio—Anne Marie as the visionary maker, David as the intrepid designer, each project a fusion of distinctive style and thoughtful function. Together, they reimagine fashion-forward prototypes, crafting pieces that blend elegance, practicality, and a sense of adventure, designed to inspire makers, dreamers, and everyday explorers.

David A Hubbell 

D. A. Hubbell has lived, loved and laughed in most places presently accessible to sound-minded human beings. He has frequented Siberia Forests, Arctic Wastelands, Caribbean Beaches, the Adirondack Mountains and of course, Las Vegas. He has walked Tectonic Fault Lines, Roman Roads, Scottish Highlands, Black Forest Ridgelines, Mexican Highways, the California Coast, K Street and Wall Street.

He has sailed the waters of Cape Cod, the Gulf of America, the Adriatic, the Hawaiian Islands, the Norwegian Sea, Japan's Inland Sea and, of course, the Pirate Coast to name but a few. He has stood on the Great Divide of three Continents. He is a survivor of Black Death, Diffi-Qs, muscle cars, gold panning in California, Colorado and Eastern Manchuria, Florida hurricanes, Texas dust storms and the dearth of daily exposure to good poetry. D.A. presently calls Florida's Pirate Coast home, which he claims is as near to Magic as is humanly possible.

Fast forward to early 2025 were he and Anne Marie sat down to talk about the best ways to make David A Hubbell’s design into reality.  

Anne Marie Suszek-Wilkerson 

Anne Marie Suszek-Wilkerson spent most of her life growing up in Miami. She has also lived in the outskirts of Montreal, Canada, as well as in North Carolina, Virginia, and now resides in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. 

Anne Marie is retired from medical billing and collections, or so she thought. Sewing has always been a passion of hers that she inherited from her late mother at a very young age. She loves to create with her many sewing machines and enjoys making fabric art, better known as quilting. This passion led her to co-found N.W. FL Comfort Quilts with her dear friend, Barbi Ouellette. Together, they create lap-sized quilts for local military families who deal with deployments and have special needs dependents. 

Anne Marie also loves to help others succeed in life with their individual passions. From teaching “The Basics of Sewing” at her local library to helping a local designer bring his creations to life, she is always eager to share her knowledge. In May of 2024, Anne Marie met retired local designer David A. Hubbell and his wife Mary at a local fabric store. They exchanged information and later started to collaborate to bring what was once an idea for David into reality.
